You can change the future for opioid-exposed kids!

Generation O has been invited to assist the NIH (National Institutes of Health) in a groundbreaking national study that includes opioid-exposed infants! It is called the Healthy Brain and Child Development Study (HBCD). This major federal effort includes nine NIH institutes and the Helping to End Addiction Long-Term (HEAL) Initiative. We are honored to contribute to this critical research and help shape a brighter future for opioid-exposed children!

How can you help?

Our biggest need is to identify people who are currently pregnant and using opioids. These can be prescription or illicit drugs. To participate in the study, moms should be identified before giving birth. With their permission, their baby will be studied. Kinship, foster and adoptive parents may participate if the biological mother's permission is granted before, or at the time of, delivery.

Where is the study taking place?

There are 27 available study locations. Participants must be able to get to their nearest study location for a series of visits.

Is there a fee to partipate?

All study assessments and procedures will be provided to you free of charge. You will be compensated for the time spent participating in the study.
